Thank you for visiting the website for Twyford and Ruscombe Preschool.

Twyford and Ruscombe Pre-school was established over 40 years ago. We are a non-profit making, registered charity and are registered with Ofsted to take 24 children per session. We currently have a team of 5 staff and hold sessions at our premises in Loddon Hall, Twyford. We are open 38 weeks of the year, generally following the same dates as the Wokingham schools, and our session times are 0900 - 1130 Mon - Fri. With effect from September 2010 our session times change to 0845 - 1145 Mon - Fri.

Children attend our pre-school from Twyford and Ruscombe and the surrounding villages of Hurst, Charvil, Sonning Wargrave, Waltham St. Lawrence and Knowl Hill.

Twyford & Ruscombe Pre-school is registered with Wokingham District Council to provide sessional day care.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and believe very strongly that children of preschool age learn best through stimulating and varied play activities.

VACANCY

We currently have a vacancy for a Pre-school Assistant/Supervisor to work 4/5 mornings per week during term time only. The successful applicant will be working as part of a small team within the pre-school with children aged between 2 ½ and 5. The main duties include supporting the children’s learning through play based activities and undertaking observations and record keeping of children allocated to you as their key worker. This will involve managing and completing the associated paperwork with this. There would be the need to attend training courses and meetings as necessary.We are looking to appoint someone with the career aspirations to progress to supervisor level. In addition to managing the session this would also involve liaising with the local authority, parents, committee and other outside bodies.

Applicants will need to hold a level 3 qualification e.g. DPP or CCLD NVQ Level 3 or similar and have a years experience of working in a pre-school, preferably with some supervisory experience.

Visits to the pre-school are welcome. No appointment is needed.
